A new Aide-de-Camp has been appointed for the President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to State House sources, the new ADC, Lt-Col Y.M. Dodo, takes over from Col. M.L. Abubakar who has been with Buhari since 2015.
An ADC is one the prominent security officials in the “inner ring” of the Presidency.
Others in that category are the Chief Security Office and the Chief Personal Security Officer among others.
Colonel Abubakar is proceeding on a five-month promotion course in Chile, a requirement for the promotion to the rank of a brigadier-general.
Until his appointment, Lieutenant Colonel Dodo was the Academy Adjutant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.
The President is currently in his hometown Daura, Katsina state, where he is attending the All Progressives Congress Membership Registration.
