DJ Cuppy, a Nigerian Disc Jockey and entertainer has opened up on her strained relationship with Zlatan Ibile, a singer.

In 2019, DJ Cuppy whose real name is Florence Otedola had added Zlatan to record and shoot the video for her colourful hit song ‘Gelato‘.

Shortly after the collaborative track was released, ‘Gelato’ had scaled up to number 3 on the Apple Music chart.

But on Friday, the DJ took to her Twitter page to disclose that Zlatan had blocked her on WhatsApp and Instagram since after the collaboration.

She also expressed her concern that it has been 10 months already and Zlatan is yet to give her reasons for his action.

“10 months later and I sometimes still wonder why @Zlatan_Ibile blocked me on WhatsApp and Instagram without ever saying why; we were actually friends. And ‘Gelato’ was a hit!” the DJ wrote.

“I’m human and I have feelings too.”

Since her emergence in the Nigerian music industry, Cuppy has continued to pull the string of fame as an entertainer.

Aside from music production and entertainment recognition, she has bagged quite a number of endorsement deals with renowned brands including Pepsi, Tiger Beer, and Samsung.

On the other hand, Zlatan came to limelight in the country’s music industry after releasing ‘My Body’ in 2017. He would later work with Chinko Ekun and Lil Kesh on the 2018 hit single ‘Able God’.
