Senator Ali Ndume has been granted bail by a Federal High Court.
Recall that Ndume, on Monday was ordered to be remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre, Abuja for failing to produce former Chairman, defunct Pension Reformed Task Team (PRTT), Abdulrashed Maina, for who he stood surety.
The court remanded the Ndume, who represents Borno South Senatorial District, after it found that Maina has jumped bail.
In a ruling on Friday Justice Okon Abang granted the application for bail pending appeal, filed by Maina.
Justice Abang said he was exercising the court’s discretionary power in favour of Ndume based on his good conduct in the course of the trial of Maina, who is being prosecuted for allegedly laundering about N2billion.
