House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Monday defended Maxine Waters for urging protesters to “get more confrontational” .

This statement was made over the weekend in the event that Derek Chauvin is acquitted of murder for the death of George Floyd.

According to Pelosi, Waters owes no apology for her “confrontational remark” if former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is acquitted.

During an appearance on CNN, Pelosi added “Maxine talked about confrontation in the manner of the Civil Rights movement”.

“I myself think we should take our lead from the George Floyd family.” she says
