Pasuma, a Nigerian Fuji singer, has celebrated Opeyemi, his daughter, for making it to the US navy.
Pasuma shared the good news on Wednesday in a post on his Instagram page attaching a picture of Opeyemi in a US navy uniform.
The Fuji star who expressed his excitement at the achievement of his daughter said that she has continued to bring happiness to the family.
“Congratulations to me, my girl is a Navy now in USA, Opeyemi L’america congrats my dearest daughter, you always make me and your mum proud always. May God almighty guide you in your choosing career,” he wrote.
The singer, born Wasiu Alabi Odetola, came into limelight in 1993 following the release of ‘Recognition’, his hit album.
He has since continued to pull the strings in the indigenous music landscape with loads of beautiful offerings, awards and recognitions.
In 2017, the musician announced his interest in joining mainstream politics, adding that he would love to become Nigeria’s president in the future to eradicate poverty.
“I foresee myself becoming president of this great country so I will be able to erase poverty once and for all,” he had said.
