Former Super Eagles’ captain and coach, Christian Chukwu, has dispelled rumours of his death.
There were rumours that he had passed on Saturday, few days after he celebrated his 70th birthday on Monday, January 4, 2020.
However, Chukwu said he was surprised at the news of his death.
He made this known on Sunday while in his Enugu home in company with his friends.
“I don’t know where the story emanated from. Nobody has come to speak with me or any member of my family. I only heard people saying that I was dead,” he said.
“As you can see, I am chatting in my house with my friends. I didn’t even go to the hospital for a checkup. I wonder why anybody will wish me dead,” he added.
